Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is a comprehensive evaluation of the magnitude of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and the immunity to interference (EMS) of electronic products. JJRLAB, a laboratory in China, provides emc testing, EMC rectification, and EMC site rental!

On-site testing is billed by the hour, with a minimum charge of half an hour. Facilities include a ten-meter anechoic chamber, a three-meter anechoic chamber, comprehensive EMC testing and inspection, and the ability to issue third-party authoritative EMC testing reports.

EMC Introduction:

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) is one of the most important indicators of product quality, assessing the interference magnitude (EMI) and anti-interference ability (EMS) of electronic products. EMC measurement consists of testing facilities and testing instruments.

What does EMC testing include?

EMC includes two main components: EMI (interference) and EMS (sensitivity, anti-interference).

emi testing items include:

(1) Radiated emissions (Radiation) EN55011,13,22 fcc part 15&18, VCCI

(2) Conducted emissions (Conduction) EN55011,13,14-1,15,22, FCC Part 15&18, VCCI

(3) Click emissions (Click) EN55014-1

(4) Power line emissions (Power Clamp) EN55013,14-1

(5) Magnetic field emissions (Magnetic Emission) EN55011,15

(6) Low-frequency immunity (Low Frequency Immunity) EN50091-2

EMS testing items include:

(7) Electrostatic discharge (ESD) iec61000-4-2, en61000-4-2, GB/T17626.2

(8) Radiated susceptibility (R/S) IEC61000-4-3, EN61000-4-3, GB/T17626.3

(9) Electrical fast transient/burst (EFT/B) immunity IEC61000-4-4, EN61000-4-4, GB/T17626.4

(10) Surge immunity (SURGE) IEC61000-4-5, EN61000-4-5, GB/T17626.5

(11) Conducted susceptibility (C/S) IEC61000-4-6, EN61000-4-6, GB/T17626.6

(12) Magnetic field immunity (M/S) IEC61000-4-8, EN61000-4-8, GB/T17626.8

(13) Voltage dips and interruptions (DIPS) IEC61000-4-11, EN61000-4-11, GB/T17626.11

(14) Harmonic current emissions (Harmonic) IEC61000-3-2, EN61000-3-2

(15) Voltage fluctuations and flicker (Flicker) IEC61000-3-3, EN61000-3-3

How is EMC testing charged for civil products? Military products may incur higher charges.

The charging standard is generally based on an hourly rate:

Radiated emissions (RE) testing fee: $200 per hour

Radiated susceptibility (RS) testing fee: $200 per hour

Other testing fees: $150 per hour

Note: Charges are based on actual testing time, with charges for less than half an hour rounded up to half an hour, and charges for less than one hour rounded up to one hour.

What are the EMC testing standards?

EN 55014-1: Emissions for household appliances

EN 55014-2: Immunity to interference for household appliances
