Update time : 2026-01-29

fcc sdoc requires that a compliance statement document be included in the accompanying documentation of the equipment. The compliance statement shall contain necessary information such as the name, address or contact website of the local U.S. supplier.

With regard to FCC sdoc, products can only be shipped and sold after a responsible party provides the requiRED declaration document. How can I identify the responsible party?

The U.S. FCC has established regULations for the responsible party, with the purpose of enabling the United States to locate the responsible person immediately in the event of a market spot check. Therefore, the following provisions apply to the responsible party:

1. The responsible party must be a company located within the United States.

2. The responsible party may be the manufacturer, assembler, or importer.

3. The responsible party must be able to provide the product, test reports, corresponding records and other materials during an FCC market spot check, to ensure that the product complies with the FCC SDoC procedures.

4. The responsible party shall include the compliance statement document in the accompanying documentation of the equipment.

It is recommended that customers directly select the primary importer or appoint a local U.S. agency company as the responsible party. China JJR provides FCC U.S. representative services.

Are there any specific requirements for the content of the FCC SDoC declaration document?

In accordance with Clause 2.1077 of the FCC regulations, the declaration document shall include the following content:

1. Product information, such as product name, model number, etc.

2. fcc compliance cautionary statement.

3. U.S. responsible party information, including company name, address, contact telephone number or internet contact information.

The declaration document is required to be shipped and sold together with the product.

In what format shall the FCC SDoC declaration document be shipped with the product?

JJR LAB has confirmed with the official U.S. FCC that the declaration document may be shipped in either of the following two formats:

1. As a separate page, included together with the instruction manual and shipped with the product (Note: This is required for each individual product, not issued on a shipment batch basis).

2. By directly incorporating all information required to be contained in the declaration document into the product instruction manual for shipment.
