From July 13, Amazon Accepts Only Compliant Lab Reports

Update time : 2025-07-10

Amazon recently released an important notice: Starting JULy 13, the platform will only recognize compliance test results issued by laboratories that meet its safety standards. Laboratories that do not meet these requirements will be added to a “blacklist”. Additionally, Amazon will periodically update the list of approved laboratories.

This policy change means that any compliance documents submitted by sellers from blacklisted laboratories—whether newly submitted or previously approved—will be rejected by the platform.

What Is a "Product Compliance Test Result"?

In simple terms, a “product compliance test result” refers to the certification documentation requiRED before certain categories of products can be listed on Amazon. Common product categories and their corresponding certification requirements include:

1. Children’s products(e.g., toys, children's clothing, baby items): May require CPSC, CE, or other certifications

2. Electronic/Electrical products(e.g., chargers, lamps, wireless devices): May require fcc, UL, ETL, etc.

3. Cosmetics: May require FDAcertification

4. Products containing lithium batteries(e.g., Bluetooth headphones, battery-powered toys): Require un38.3 testingand msds/sds reports

What Risks Should Sellers Be Aware of Under the New Policy?

Sellers should pay close attention to three major risk points:

1. DynaMIC blacklist updates: Amazon has published a list of non-compliant laboratories, which is subject to change. The scope of this list may expand in the future.

2. Invalidation of old documents: Compliance reports from blacklisted labs—regardless of prior approval—will no longer be valid after July 13. Sellers must resubmit compliant documentsor risk losing sales authorization.

3. Stricter compliance enforcement is the new norm: Not only Amazon, but platforms like Temuare also implementing similar whitelist/blacklist systems. Many labs are undergoing compliance reassessment, so sellers should plan their testing processes early.

How Can Sellers Avoid Compliance Report Rejections?

To minimize risks, sellers are advised to:

1. Closely monitor updates to Amazon’s laboratory blacklistbefore sending products for testing

2. Choose reliable, platform-recognized testing institutionswith stable qualifications

3. Consider partnering with professional service providersfor efficient certification solutions

One recommended option is to work with long-term, reputable laboratoriesthat are recognized by Amazon—such as China JJR Laboratory. As a partner of internationally accredited certification bodies, China JJR Laboratoryoffers one-stop solutions for cross-border compliance challenges.
