1. EN 1335-1:2000 – Office chair testing standards and technical execution analysis.

2. EN 1335-2:2009 – Office chair safety requirements.

3. EN 1335-3:2009 – Office chair testing (experimental) methods.

Office Chair CE Certification Stability Tests

1. Stability test

2. Seat front edge stability test

3. Forward stability test

4. Forward stability test for chairs with footrests

5. Lateral stability test

6. Rearward stability test

7. Static pressure test on the front of the seat

8. Static pressure test on the seat and backrest

9. Static pressure test on armrests – middle section

10. Static pressure test on armrests – front section

11. Lateral static pressure test on armrests

12. Static pressure test on footrests

13. Seat and backrest durability test (260,000 cycles)

14. Armrest durability test

15. Swivel test

16. Footrest durability test

17. Chair base and caster durability test

18. Swivel resistance test

ce certification process

1. Certification Consultation – Confirm testing costs and duration.

2. Sample Preparation & Application – Provide necessary documents and chair samples.

3. Contract Signing & Payment – Finalize agreements and make payments.

4. CE Certification Testing – Engineers conduct tests based on standards.

5. Test Completion & Report Issuance – A CE report is issued upon successful testing.

6. ce certificate Issuance – The official CE certification is granted.

Importance of CE Certification

1. Enhances product competitiveness.

2. Prevents delays or detainment during customs clearance.

3. Reduces risks of non-compliance during inspections.

4. If a product is found non-compliant, the third-party testing agency assumes partial responsibility, reducing company risks.

5. Consumers trust products with CE certification.

6. A CE-marked product meets regulatory safety standards, ensuring consumer protection.

7. Avoids potential accusations from competitors based on regulatory violations.
