It applies to consumer products with button batteries, whether these batteries are intended to be replaced by the consumer or are included with the product or sold separately. However, it does not apply to children's toys for children under 14 years old that comply with Toy Safety Standards.

gcc certificate

The GCC certificate is a document required by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) that manufacturers or importers must provide for certain products to prove compliance with U.S. safety standards and regulations.

The GCC certificate must include key information such as product identification, the standards or regulations it complies with, information about the importer or domestic manufacturer, product description, production date and location, testing date and location, and the name of the testing agency.
