Mandatory Certification for Amazon North America

Amazon North America has recently issued an important notice to sellers, requiring that certain product categories complete mandatory certifications and submit compliance documents before the deadline. Products not processed in time risk being removed from the platform.

Affected Products

This inspection mainly targets the following three types of certifications. Sellers should quickly verify their product lists:

01. CPC Certification | Children’s Product Safety Certificate

- Applicable Products:All items intended for children aged 12 and under → toys, children’s clothing, maternity and baby products, stationery, cradles, etc.

- Testing Standards:cpsia + ASTM F963

- Test Items:Lead content, phthalates, physical safety, etc.

02. fcc Certification | Wireless / RF Device compliance

- Applicable Products:Any product with wireless or RF transmission → Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi products, smart home devices, small appliances, remote-controlled toys, etc.

- Certification Type:fcc id (with wireless transmission) or fcc sdoc (without wireless transmission)

03. ul test report / ENERGY STAR Certification

- Applicable Products:

- Lamps, batteries, chargers, small appliances, etc. (UL safety report required)

- LED lights, home appliances, etc. (ENERGY STAR energy efficiency certification required)

- Testing Requirements:Must be issued by an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory
