A Portable Luminaire CSA Report refers to a test report issued by an SCC (Standards Council of Canada) recognized laboratory after a luminaire product has undergone safety testing in accordance with Canadian Standards Association (CSA) standards. It is a mandatory compliance document for entering the Canadian market (including Amazon Canada).

It is applicable to movable/portable luminaires with a rated voltage not exceeding 1000V, covering both plug-in and battery-powered types. It is not applicable to fixed, recessed, road lighting, or luminaires used in explosive environments.
Applicable Products: Desk lamps, floor lamps, clip-on lamps, work lights (handheld/movable), vanity mirror lights, decorative portable lights, camping lights, under-cabinet movable lights, and other non-fixed, freely movable lighting equipment.
Power Supply Methods: AC/DC plug-in, built-in or external battery-powered (including rechargeable types).
Select an SCC-Recognized Laboratory (Testing scope must include CSA C22.2 No. 250.4)
Submit Samples: 3–5 finished units (including power supplies and accessories)
Submit Documents: Specifications, schematic diagrams, BOM (Bill of Materials), user manual, and label design
Testing: Approximately 4-6 weeks (rectification and re-testing are required if unqualified)
Issue Report: A CSA test report will be issued upon successfully passing the tests
