UL certification Standards for Power Adapters

ul1310 Standard for Safety for Class 2 Power Units

UL1310 applies to power supplies or chargers powered by an AC power grid with a phase voltage not exceeding 150V, and an energy level not higher than Class 2. Under any load conditions, its input power shall not exceed 660W.

Information Required for Power Adapter UL1310 Certification

  1. Circuit Diagram and PCB Layout Diagram: The front and back component sides, as well as the routing diagrams, must be provided separately.

  2. Transformer and Primary Inductor Specifications: The pin configurations in the transformer specifications must strictly match the circuit diagram and the actual physical sample.

  3. Enclosure Dimension Drawing: The overall dimensions (length, width, and height) and the units of measurement must be clearly marked.

  4. Electronic Label: Must include the UL logo, product information, and other relevant details.

  5. Critical Components List (CCL) or BOM (Bill of Materials).

  6. Description of Differences Between Series Models: A detailed explanation of the differences in components across the series.

  7. Insulator and Heatsink Dimension Drawings: If there is adhesive tape on the heatsink, the dimensions and placement of the tape on the heatsink must be clearly indicated.
