Standards for CE Certification of Electronic Products

Views :
Update time : 2024-07-01

Due to the potential risks of fire, electric shock, and explosion associated with electrically powered products, the European Economic Area (EEA) has implemented strict regulations for importing such products. CE certification is required for these products to be sold locally and on platforms like Amazon, eBay, Temu, and AliExpress.

Currently, electrically powered products require CE certification, ROHS certification, and reach certification. Some products also need the European ERP energy efficiency certification.

CE Certification for Electrically Powered Products

CE certification for electrically powered products in the EU is divided into low voltage and high voltage products, each with different standards and directives.

- High Voltage Products: Products with voltage between AC 50-1000V and DC 75-1500V. Directives include CE-LVD, CE-EMC, CE-EMF, and CE-RED (for wireless and Bluetooth products).

- Low Voltage Products: Products with voltage below AC 50V and DC 75V. Directives include CE-EMC, CE-EMF, and CE-RED (for wireless and Bluetooth products).
