TEMU Europe Site CE-EMC Certification Test Report

Currently, products with electrical components listed on TEMU sites in Europe, including the UK, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, and the EU, require CE-EMC (Electric) qualification. What is a CE-emc certification test report?

CE certification is a mandatory certification in the EU. Products exported to the EU must comply with EU standards and affix the CE mark to be sold locally, including cross-border e-commerce.

CE certification is divided into different directives according to the product, mainly:

1. CE-LVD low voltage directive 2014/35/EU

Applies to electronic and electrical products with AC 50V-1000V, DC 75V-1500V.

Representative products: household appliances, IT products, AV products, and poweRED machinery.

2. CE-EMC Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU

Applies to electronic and electrical products with circuit boards that generate electromagnetic interference.

Representative products: household appliances, IT products, AV products, and 3C digital products.

3. CE-RED Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU

Mainly for radio equipment and telecom terminal equipment.

Representative products: Bluetooth headsets, Bluetooth speakers, routers.

4. CE-RoHS Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive 2011/65/EU

Applies to electronic and electrical products, household appliances, AV equipment, lighting, power tools, medical devices.

5. CE-MD Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC

Applies to machinery with power systems.

Representative products: packaging machinery, injection molding machinery, woodworking machinery, engineering machinery.

6. CE-PPE Personal Protective Equipment Directive 89/686/EEC

Applies to devices or equipment worn or carried by people to prevent health and safety hazards.

Representative products: protective masks, earplugs, safety helmets.

7. CE-CPR Construction Products Directive (EU) 305/2011

Applies to construction materials used in building construction.

Representative products: fire doors, protective doors and walls, network cables.

8. CE-PED Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU

Applies to containers, pipelines, safety components, and pressure parts with maximum allowable pressure above 0.5 bar.

Representative products: pressure valves.

9. CE-MDR Medical Devices Directive (EU) 2017/745

Applies to general medical devices.

Representative products: ECG machines, medical masks, thermometers.

10. CE-EN71 Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC

 Applies to toy products.

 Representative products: plush toys, building block toys.

11. CE-ATEX Explosive Atmospheres Directive (94/9/EC)

 Applies to products used in explosive environments.

 Representative product: explosion-proof lights.

12. CE-RCD Recreational Craft Directive 94/25/EC

 Applies to yacht products.

13. CE-LIFTS Lifts Directive 95/16/EC

 Applies to elevator products.

14. CE-MID Measuring Instruments Directive 2004/22/EC

 Applies to measuring instruments.

Representative products: electronic scales, thermometers, laser measuring instruments.

TEMU requires CE-EMC certification, which is the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU. Depending on the product, different standards must be met:

- Household Appliances: EN 55014-1, EN 55014-2

- General Lighting and LED Products: EN 55015, EN 61547

- Audio/Video and IT Equipment: en 55032

- General Equipment for Residential, Commercial, and Light Industrial Environments: en 61000-6-1, EN 61000-6-3

- General Industrial Equipment: EN 61000-6-2, EN 61000-6-4

Additionally, electronic and electrical products applying for CE certification must also comply with the CE-ROHS directive. If the power supply voltage exceeds AC 50V or DC 75V, they must comply with the CE-lvd directive. Products with wireless modULes must comply with the CE-RED directive.
