Currently, the diverse charging interfaces of electronic devices cause significant e-waste, consumer inconvenience, and severe resource waste. In response, the EU proposed revising the red directive in 2019. Since then, regions like Saudi Arabia, California (USA), and India have established mandatory implementation timelines and requirements for the Type-C charging interface.
