Update time : 2024-12-27

The U.S. Energy Star program is an energy efficiency initiative jointly launched by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to contribute to energy conservation and environmental protection. Energy Star covers a wide range of everyday electronic products, such as household appliances, traditional fluorescent lighting, new LED/SSL solid-state lighting, building energy efficiency, office equipment, cooling/heating products, commercial food processing equipment, LED-integrated bULbs, SSL solid-state lighting fixtures, connected smart lighting products, integrated fluorescent lamps (CFL), electronic ballasts, incandescent bulbs, external power adapters, air conditioners, televisions, set-top boxes, and more. We can also perform long-life projections and lumen maintenance tests of 6000 hours or more for your LED light source components based on the standards of IESNA LM-80-08, IESNA LM-80-15, IESNA LM-80-2020, and IESNA TM-21-11, ensuring your products swiftly and smoothly obtain the U.S. Energy Star certification.

The U.S. EPA and DOE launched the third-party certification process for Energy Star on January 1, 2011. Manufacturers wishing to label their products with the Energy Star logo must have them tested by an EPA-recognized laboratory, submit the test report to an EPA-recognized third-party certification body (CB), and receive approval to obtain the Energy Star certification and listing.

- In 2011, JJR Laboratory in China received approval from the U.S. EPA to become one of the few Energy Star certification bodies (CB) and testing agencies covering lighting and electronic products, providing a new Energy Star testing and certification service.

- Thanks to its high-quality and efficient services, JJR Laboratory has successfully assisted numerous domestic manufacturers in obtaining Energy Star® certification, while also receiving the latest U.S. EPA recognition, making it one of the global laboratories offering Energy Star® market sampling test services.
