All products subject to regulation must work with a third-party testing, inspection, and certification service provider authorized by Amazon. There are two ways to handle this:
Existing Documents: Submit them to the authorized agency for review to verify if they meet the standards.
No Existing Reports: Send samples to the testing agency for brand-new testing according to the standards of the corresponding marketplace.
If you need to verify existing documents, you must submit a test report issued by an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory within the past 12 months to the service provider, proving that the product meets the following applicable regulations:
US marketplace requirement only: Sellers must submit a Certificate of Commercial Insurance (COI) in Seller Central.
Verify Product Scope: Confirm whether the products you sell on the US/Canada marketplaces belong to the regulated categories and whether their power source is a lithium battery.
Check or Obtain Test Reports:
Old Reports: Check if they are within the 12-month validity period, match the corresponding category standards, and have the accompanying UN 38.3 battery documentation.
No Reports: Contact testing service providers immediately to send samples for testing. Leave an ample time buffer to avoid audit congestion during peak seasons.
Submit to an Amazon-Authorized Third Party: Complete the verification through a third-party certification service provider authorized by Amazon. Once approved, your products can be sold normally.
Complete US Marketplace Enhanced Compliance: Upload your COI insurance certificate in Seller Central.
Perfect the Product Detail Page: Ensure that information such as the model number, part number, manufacturer, and brand name is accurate and completely filled out.
