Amazon CPC Product Testing Standards

Views :
Update time : 2025-03-24

On Amazon’s U.S. marketplace, products related to children, including toys and baby products, are required to have a CPC certificate. Without it, sellers risk having their products removed, funds withheld, or even facing legal action.

CPC Certification

CPC certification stands for Children’s Product Certificate (CPC), which applies to all products primarily intended for children aged 12 and under, such as toys, cradles, children's clothing, etc.

Amazon CPC Product Testing Standards(图1)

- If the product is manufactured in the U.S., the manufacturer is responsible for providing the CPC certificate.

- If the product is manufactured outside the U.S., the importer is responsible for providing the CPC certificate.

This means that cross-border sellers, acting as "importers," must provide a CPC certificate to Amazon, which serves as a retailer/distributor, when selling products manufactured in China to the U.S. Without CPC certification, products subjected to random inspections may be deemed non-compliant by customs, leading to product detention.

Furthermore, CPC certification is a mandatory requirement for children’s products on Amazon U.S. Without it, products cannot be listed or sold on the platform.
