"Your product has been suppressed due to lack of compliance documentation." Recently, an increasing number of Amazon sellers who deal in furniture such as wardrobes and chests of drawers have received such alerts. Sellers must address this promptly; otherwise, their store products may face the risk of being removed from the shelves. This is not a random spot check, but is related to a mandatory new regulation officially implemented by Amazon on its U.S. and Canadian sites in December 2025.

In December 2025, Amazon North America made a major update to its compliance policy, explicitly incorporating clothing storage products into the Direct Validation (DV) program. The program aims to ensure the authenticity of compliance documents and the consistency of products through Amazon-recognized Third-Party Inspection and Certification organizations (TICs), thereby safeguarding consumer safety.
If a seller’s products fall into these categories, compliance verification must be completed through Amazon-recognized Third-Party Inspection and Certification organizations (TICs). Test reports must be submitted directly to Amazon by these TICs, and sellers are no longer allowed to upload documents on their own.
The self-submission channel for sellers has been closed. For specific ASINs flagged by the system, sellers must take the initiative to contact Amazon-recognized TICs for audit within the specified time limit. The TIC will audit and verify the seller’s products and documents, and the final verification results will be submitted directly to the Amazon system by the TIC. Sellers themselves cannot intervene in the process or upload any documents.
JJR Testing Laboratory is an Amazon-recognized Third-Party Inspection and Certification organization (TIC).
(Regulated products must meet all of the following criteria simultaneously)

2. Free-standing
3. Height ≥ 27 inches

Chests of drawers, dressers, wardrobes, armoires, vanities, etc.
Bookshelves, office furniture, dining room furniture, jewelry cabinets, nightstands, under-bed storage drawers, or built-in furniture. Simple "clothing storage boxes" are also not within the scope of regulation.

1. Verify if ASINs Are Flagged
Log in to the Seller Central, go to Account Health, and check for pending validation requests under Product Compliance Requests in the Policy Compliance section.
2. Select an Amazon-recognized TIC Service Provider (e.g., JJR Hong Kong Standards and Testing Center)
During the validation submission process, Amazon will provide a list of recognized TICs for selection. Sellers need to contact the selected TIC.
3. Prepare and Submit the Compliance Document Package
Provide the selected TIC with a complete set of documents, including:
① Test reports issued by ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratories: Must cover all the applicable standards mentioned above
② Product and packaging images: Must show all sides, including model number, manufacturer information, compliance marks, warning labels, etc.
③ Product instructions and manuals: Must be in the language of the sales destination
4. Cooperate with the TIC to Complete the Validation
The TIC will audit the authenticity of the documents and their consistency with the physical products. Sellers must provide samples or supplementary information as required by the TIC.
5. Wait for the Results to Be Synced to Amazon
After the validation is passed, the TIC will submit the results directly to the Amazon system. Sellers can monitor the product status updates in the Seller Central.
