Recently, a large number of sellers have received email notifications requiring them to submit Tic certification reports recognized by Amazon.
Simply put, to stricter control product quality and safety, Amazon has introduced officially certified third-party testing institutions as gatekeepers.
These TIC institutions will be responsible for conducting professional verification on sellers' products and submitting the resULts directly to Amazon, with no seller intervention allowed throughout the process!

It is worth noting that a new round of compliance checks has been launched again, and the scope of review is not limited to the toy category—Amazon has extended the review system to multiple product categories!
① Adult bed rails
② Button/coin cell batteries and related battery-containing products
③ Clothing storage products
④ Dietary supplements
⑤ Electric mobility devices and accessories
⑥ Infant feeding products
⑦ Over-the-counter analgesics
⑧ Laser products
⑨ Portable power supplies
⑩ Skin lightening products
⑪ Baby walkers and mobility aids
The platform has also clearly stated that it will gradually expand the scope of reviewed categories, ultimately covering all products sold on the platform. This measure aims to strengthen product quality and safety control through third-party testing institutions (TICs). In the future, all products listed on the platform must pass compliance review.
It should be noted that the requirements for direct TIC verification vary across different sites:
• US Site: Children's toys, electric mobility device accessories, electric mobility devices, dietary supplements, ophthalMIC drugs, skin lightening products
• Canada Site: Children's toys, electric mobility device accessories, electric mobility devices
• UK Site & 8 EU Countries: Children's toys
Deadline Requirements: For North American sites, test reports issued within 1 year are requiRED. If the report exceeds the 1-year validity period, re-testing is needed to obtain a valid report before verification can proceed. Currently, there is no validity limit for test reports in European countries.
The new regulation has direct and clear impacts on sellers' operations, which can be summarized in one core rule: only compliant products are allowed for sale, while non-compliant ones will be removed from the shelves.
If TIC institutions verify that a product complies with Amazon's policies, sellers do not need to take additional actions, and the product can be sold normally on the US Site without the need to resubmit materials in the future. However, if sellers fail to initiate verification, complete testing, or if test results indicate non-compliance within the specified time, the platform will directly remove the product listing!
It is particularly important to note that the new regulation does not only target newly listed products, but mainly affects currently available products. Failure to handle relevant compliance matters in a timely manner may result in the removal of existing ASINs!
This is the real reason why a large number of ASINs have recently been required to supplement materials intensively.
Solutions for ASIN Removal Due to Failure to Complete Verification by the Deadline:
1. Create a TRF (Test Report Form)—this is a core prerequisite step;
2. Complete payment of relevant fees;
3. Ship product samples to the designated institution for testing, or submit existing test reports that meet the requirements.
Only after the test report is approved by the platform can the relevant ASINs regain sales eligibility.
1. Validity of Certification Reports: Currently, Amazon only recognizes TIC test reports issued within 1 year. Sellers must complete product testing and TIC review on an annual basis to ensure that reports remain valid.
2. Compliance Requirements for Free Gifts: For products in the toy category that come with non-toy gifts, if the gifts are sold with the toys and involve children's usage scenarios, the entire product set (including toys and gifts) must undergo testing. Products intended for children are automatically included in the scope of TIC verification.
3. Additional Compliance Standards for the Children's Toy Category (Beyond Core Test Reports):
① Product Manuals: Must include age-appropriate warnings, usage instructions, and safety alerts, with language versions corresponding to the sales regions.
② Packaging and Product Labeling: A full set of mandatory labels must be displayed, including age labels, safety warnings, and traceability labels.
By fully understanding the regulatory requirements and completing compliance procedures in a timely manner, sellers can effectively avoid operational risks. It is recommended that sellers conduct self-inspections and make rectifications as soon as possible to ensure that their products meet the platform's requirements.
