Update time : 2025-11-10

EMC preliminary testing refers to the initial testing of electronic products' performance in an electromagnetic environment to assess their adaptability and immunity to electromagnetic fields within a specific frequency range. These tests are usually conducted in the early stages of product design to ensure that the product already has a certain level of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) before undergoing formal emc testing.

JJR Laboratory in China is a professional third-party emc testing organization equipped with advanced emc testing labs and rich EMC testing experience. It provides technical services in EMC preliminary testing, electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic susceptibility (EMS) problem rectification, EMC detection, emc certification, and more.

Professional Third-Party EMC Testing Solution Provider

JJR EMC Laboratory, as a leading third-party testing service provider in the industry, is dedicated to providing comprehensive EMC preliminary testing and rectification services.

The laboratory is equipped with advanced testing equipment and focuses on EMC testing in various fields such as home appliances, smart homes, Internet of Things (IoT) and vehicle networks, medical devices, electronic information technology products, rail transport equipment, and audio-video products. Through accurate, reliable, and cost-effective services, we help clients address and resolve potential EMC issues early in the product design phase, avoiding regulatory barriers and technical obstacles during the later market launch.

EMC Laboratory Testing Capabilities

- EMC testing for communication products;

- EMC testing for rail transport equipment, such as EN50121, GB/T24338, IEC62236 standards;

- Testing for home appliances, in accordance with en55032, EN55035, and other standards;

- Military product testing based on the GJB151B-2013 standard;

- Medical product testing based on the YY0505-2012, YY9706.102 standards;

- Professional EMC testing for automotive electronics, aviation, maritime, and other fields.

The laboratory follows a wide range of testing standards, including GB9254, CISPR32, GB4943, GB/T34089, GJB5313A, CISPR25:2016, EN55025:2017, GB/T17626, IEC61000, among others, covering nearly all EMC testing needs in relevant industries.

Information Required for EMC Preliminary Testing

1. Product Specifications and Design Documents: Provide detailed specifications and design documents of the product, including circuit diagrams, PCB layouts, antenna design, etc. This helps to understand the electromagnetic structure of the product and potential interference sources.

2. Power Design Information: Provide information about the product's power supply design, including power lines and filter designs. Power design is critical for the product's electromagnetic compatibility.

3. Interface and Connector Information: Provide detailed information about the product's interfaces and connectors, including the type, length of connection cables, and connector design.

4. Equipment Use and Environmental Conditions: Provide information about the intended use, operating environment, and conditions of the product. Different uses and environments may impact the product's electromagnetic compatibility.

5. Radio Frequency Emission Frequency Range: If the product includes radio frequency emission components, provide the product's emission frequency range. This is crucial for determining the frequency range to be tested.

6. Grounding Design Information: Provide grounding design information for the product, including the location of grounding points, grounding line design, and connection methods. Proper grounding design is essential for EMC.

7. Shielding Design Information: If the product includes shielding, provide detailed information about the shielding design, including shielding materials and effectiveness.

Pre-test and Rectification Services

The EMC laboratory offers pre-test services, such as full pre-testing according to the YY0505-2012 standard for medical devices. This service is not only more cost-effective but also provides a more comprehensive understanding of the product’s EMC performance, offering guidance for subsequent formal testing and product improvements. In addition, the laboratory supports EMC testing for specific items in audio-video, IT products, and home appliances, and can arrange for on-site adjustments and verification to ensure that the product complies with relevant EMC standards.
