How to get Taiwan NCC Certificate?

The NCC, or National Communications Commission, is the regULatory body for communications and broadcasting in Taiwan. It was established to promote the development of communications and broadcasting in Taiwan. The NCC is mainly responsible for frequency management, radio wave detection, domain names and URLs, and related international cooperation. Instructions for Making NCC Certification Labels

1. The label should be affixed or printed on the device at an appropriate size; no maximum or minimum size is specified, but clarity is essential.

2. The NCC certification mark along with the inspection approval number must be attached to the product, using a single color that is clear and easily recognizable.

1. Public Switched Telephone Network Equipment (PSTN):

 Wired telephones (including VOIP phones), automatic alarm devices, telephone recorders, fax machines, teleprinters, remote control devices, wired telephone wireless handsets, user-provided private branch exchanges, key telephone systems, computer-telephone integration devices, data devices (ADSL terminal devices and splitters), caller ID terminals, 2.4GHz RF telecommunication terminal devices, DS1/T1/E1 terminal devices, etc.

2. Public Land Mobile Network Equipment (PLMN):

 Radio pager terminal devices, mobile data terminal devices, relay wireless telephones, GSM mobile phones and terminals, DCS1800 mobile phones and terminals, 3G and 4G mobile communication terminals (3G license expired legally on Dec 31, 2018).

3. Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN):

 ISDN digital phones, ISDN PC interface cards, ISDN G4 fax machines, ISDN video phones, ISDN terminal adapters, ISDN terminal adapter modules, ISDN PABX, other ISDN user terminal devices.

4. Low Power Radio Frequency Devices:

Application Process

1. The applicant provides product information to JJR Laboratory in China for evaluation and quotation.

2. The applicant confirms and signs the quotation, fills out the application form, provides samples and documents, and arranges payment (initial payment); the agency opens the case.

3. Product pre-assessment and document review are arranged.

4. If issues are found in testing or documents, corrections and retesting are arranged until qualified.

5. After passing tests and document review, the certification body conducts a witnessed test.

6. Upon completion of the witnessed test, the certification body issues the test report and certificate.

7. The applicant pays the balance and receives the certificate and report, concluding the case.

Note:NCC certification does not accept foreign test reports or certificates.

Before appointing a local agent, foreign manufacturers can temporarily hold the certification. However, to import and market the products, a local agent is ultimately required.
