1. Project Confirmation: Confirm the applicable UL standard, certification cost and lead time, sample quantity, etc.;
2. Document Preparation: The manufacturer prepares all required documents in accordance with UL requirements;
3. Sample Submission & Testing: The manufacturer sends samples to JJR Testing Laboratory for product testing;
4. Report Issuance: A formal test report is issued if the test results meet UL standard requirements;
5. Factory Inspection: UL conducts the initial factory inspection to ensure compliance with standards;
6. Mark Authorization: Upon successful inspection, the applicant is officially authorized to use the UL mark.
UL certification requires factory inspections.
After the initial UL certification application, the manufacturer may arrange shipments only after passing the initial factory inspection, to ensure continuous compliance with UL requirements and consistency between mass-produced products and tested samples.
For subsequent certifications, prior factory inspection is not required before shipment.
UL annual follow-up inspections are conducted once per quarter, four times per year.
