EU Toy Compliance Certification

All toys sold in the European market must comply with the European Toy Safety Directive 2009/48/EC to ensure product safety and suitability. Manufacturers, retailers, and importers are responsible for ensuring that their products meet the basic safety requirements of Directive 2009/48/EC and undergo relevant toy testing according to the unified European Toy Safety Standards to demonstrate compliance.

REACH

The European Union's legislation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) aims to provide a high level of protection for human health and the environment from the use of hazardous chemicals. REACH establishes a mandatory chemical substance registration system, requiring traceability and identification of chemicals in products sold on the European market.

 

Manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and importers of toys and children’s products are responsible for complying with and managing the risks related to chemicals regulated under REACH Appendix 17, providing relevant toy testing reports. REACH Appendix 17 includes a list of substances, mixtures, and items restricted for sale and use in the European market.
