Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) are a class of hydrocarbons with certain volatility, which can enter the human body through respiration, skin, food, drinking water, and other channels. Currently, 30 PAHs are confirmed to be carcinogenic, with Benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) being a potent carcinogen. Therefore, stricter restrictions are applied to BaP.

Starting from April 1, 2008, GS testing has made PAHS testing mandatory, and the number of PAHs requiring regulation has been updated to 18.
In addition to the restrictions of the German GS testing, other countries and regions have also imposed their own regulations, such as REACH, California Proposition 65, and the German Risk Assessment Committee (BfR) recommendations on PAH content in consumer goods.
China JJR Laboratory provides PAHS testing and a one-stop gs certification solution for your finished products and materials, offering professional and efficient support to help you further expand into international markets.
