REACH is a European Union regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals. It is a regulatory proposal involving the safety of chemical production, trade, and use. It restricts the use and content of toxic and hazardous substances within the reach regulation, aiming to protect human health and environmental safety, maintain and improve the competitiveness of the EU chemical industry, and develop the innovative capability of non-toxic and harmless compounds, prevent market fragmentation, increase transparency in the use of chemicals, promote non-animal testing, and pursue sustainable social development, etc. It is a chemical regulatory system implemented on June 1, 2007.
svhc testing refers to the detection of the content of substances controlled by SVHC in the REACH regulation.
According to the requirements of the reach certification regulation 1907/2006/EC, producers and importers should notify the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) if they meet the following two situations:
The concentration of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) in the product exceeds 0.1%;
The quantity of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) contained in the producer's/importer's products exceeds 1 ton/year.
The implementation of REACH has had a significant impact on the electrical and electronic industries. To comply with REACH, manufacturers or suppliers of electrical and electronic products should identify and control hazardous substances in their products, especially Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) and REACH restricted substances.
1. Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC)
a. Substances that meet one of the following criteria can be considered as Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC);
b. Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or toxic to Reproduction (CMRs);
c. Persistent, Bioaccumulative and Toxic (PBTs);
d. very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative (vPvBs);
e. Substances that seriously and/or irreversibly damage the environment or human health, as well as substances harmful to the hormone system.
REACH testing refers to the testing of substances in the SVHC list of substances of high concern stipulated by the EU. REACH registration refers to the submission of registration applications by three categories of persons according to the REACH regulations:
(1) EU manufacturers (natural or legal persons established within the EU countries who manufacture a substance);
(2) EU importers (natural or legal persons established within the EU countries who are responsible for import);
(3) An "Only Representative" established within the EU appointed by a non-EU manufacturer.

The price varies depending on the raw materials of the product, and the testing methods are divided into separate testing and mixed testing.
Usually, the time for applying for REACH certification of a product is about 1 week. If it is a more complex product, the REACH certification time will be relatively longer.
There is no so-called validity period for product REACH certification. If the product that previously applied for REACH certification has not changed, the REACH report can be used continuously.
