The European Union officially published Directive 2002/95/EC on January 27, 2003, titled “Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment”(commonly referred to as the RoHS Directive). This directive came into effect on July 1, 2006.
On July 21, 2011, the revised RoHS Directive—RoHS 2.0 (2011/65/EU)—was adopted, replacing the original 2002/95/EC version. EU member states were required to update their local legislation to align with RoHS 2.0 by January 2, 2013.

The following hazardous substances are restricted, each with a maximum allowable concentration (by weight) in homogeneous materials:
1. Lead (Pb):≤ 0.1%
2. Cadmium (Cd):≤ 0.01%
3. Mercury (Hg):≤ 0.1%
4. Hexavalent Chromium (Cr⁶⁺):≤ 0.1%
5. Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBBs):≤ 0.1%
6. Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDEs):≤ 0.1%
7. Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP):≤ 0.1%
8. Butyl Benzyl Phthalate (BBP):≤ 0.1%
9. Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP):≤ 0.1%
10. Diisobutyl Phthalate (DIBP):≤ 0.1%
Step 1: Application Submission
The applicant fills out the RoHS application form and provides a complete list of product components.
Step 2: Cost Evaluation
Testing fees are calculated based on the material and color information submitted.
Step 3: Confirmation and Sample Preparation
After confirming the quotation, the applicant signs the application form and service agreement, pays the full project fee, and prepares the testing samples. (The specific quantity of samples should be coordinated with our staff.)
Step 4: Testing and Reporting
Once testing is completed and passed, a formal rohs test report is issued, marking the end of the certification project.
