GB 31701 Safety Technical Code for Infants and Children Textile Products specifies the safety technical requirements, test methods and inspection rULes for infants and children textile products.
It was issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China and the Standardization Administration of China on May 26, 2015, and formally implemented on June 1, 2016, with an implementation transition period of 2 years.
Products produced before June 1, 2016 and meeting relevant standard requirements are allowed to continue to be sold on the market until May 31, 2018.
(GB 31701-2015 Safety Technical Code for Infants and Children Textile Products)

GB 31701 applies to infants and children textile products sold within the territory of China.
However, textile plush toys, textile crafts, disposable sanitary products, luggage, handbags, umbrellas, carpets, professional sportswear, etc., are not within the scope of this standard.
Infant textile products referRED to in this standard mean textile products worn or used by infants aged 36 months and below.
Children’s textile products mean textile products worn or used by children aged above 3 years and up to 14 years.
GB 31701 classifies the safety technical requirements for infants and children textile products into Class A, Class B and Class C.
Infant textile products shall meet Class A requirements; children’s textile products in direct contact with skin shall meet at least Class B requirements; children’s textile products not in direct contact with skin shall meet at least Class C requirements, corresponding one-to-one with the safety technical classes in gb 18401.
In addition to meeting the requirements of the corresponding safety technical classes in GB 18401, fabrics used for face fabrics, linings and accessories of infants and children textile products shall also meet the following requirements:
