RCM certification is a joint certification used by Australia and New Zealand, indicating that the product meets the requirements for safety, EMC, and RF simultaneously. On February 24, 2017, the RCM officially released the latest standard for short-range wireless devices, as/nzs 4268:2017; wireless mouse exports to Australia require rcm certification, costing $450. (Email: hello@jjrlab.com) The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMC) made a fundamental decision based on public discussion in 2009 to integrate existing multiple compliance marks into a single compliance mark including telecommunications, radio communications, electromagnetic compatibility, and electromagnetic radiation (EME) technical requirements, namely RCM. Starting from March 1, 2013, Australia abolished the c-tick certification with a transition period of 2 years. All products sold in Australia must have an rcm certificate and be registered on the official Australian website. It has now been implemented!!

RCM certification has three certification methods based on your product:

First class ACMA certification considerations: ACMA's first class: products with AC voltage below 50V and DC voltage below 50V; Processing method: (1) ACMA only focuses on EMC; (2) Submit importer information, importer must be registered, (3) Print rcm logo on the label.

Second class EESS (SAA mandatory external product) certification considerations: Second class EESS (SAA mandatory external product): products with AC voltage of 50V-1000V and DC voltage of 120V-1500V; Processing method: (1) Submit EMC + LVD report; (2) Submit importer information, importer must be registered, (3) Print RCM LOGO on the label.

Third class EESS (SAA mandatory internal product) certification considerations: products with AC voltage of 50V-1000V and DC voltage of 120V-1500V; Processing method: (1) Must obtain saa certification. The label must have the SAA logo and certificate number, and the RCM logo; (2) Submit importer information, importer must be registered; (3) Fees: (4) Submit documents including SAA report and certificate + actual importer information + emc report.
