Recently, Amazon Canada has introduced new compliance requirements for electrical products.
Amazon requires that all electrical products undergo testing and comply with the specific regULations or standards applicable to the product.
If the products being sold do not meet the relevant requirements, Amazon will remove them from sale on April 18.
- Model number, part number, or product number
- Manufacturer or brand name
- The certification body for the certified product
According to the Canadian CAN/CSA 22.2 standard, please provide one of the following materials:
- A test report or certificate issued by a certification body recognized by the Standards Council of Canada, proving that your product complies with CSA C22.2 electrical safety standards or harmonized UL standards.
- An Amazon Declaration of Compliance form that includes the electrical safety product number/model, which must be listed in the database of a certification body recognized by the Standards Council of Canada, showing compliance with CSA C22.2 electrical safety standards or harmonized UL standards.
- Model number, part number, or product number
- Name and address of the manufacturer, importer, distributor, or authorized representative
- Brand name or registeRED trademark
- Product label
- Product packaging
- Compliance mark
- Hazard warnings (in both English and French)
- Product instructions and manuals (in both English and French)
From the above, we can see that all products sold in Canada must comply with the CSA 22.2 standard and/or UL standards.
