At present, children’s toys, maternal and infant products exported to the United States are required to obtain a CPC certificate and cpsia report for customs clearance.
Overseas e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, eBay, and AliExpress also require Chinese-made children’s products, toys, and maternal and infant products to obtain a CPC Children’s Product Certificate.
1. Children’s products must comply with relevant rules and safety regulations and undergo mandatory third-party testing.
2. Testing must be performed in a CPSC-accredited laboratory.
3. Issued with the assistance of a third-party laboratory based on third-party test results.
4. Children’s products must comply with all applicable rules or regulations.
1. Initial testing: The first test conducted on the product.
2. Material change testing: Testing required if there are changes to materials.
3. Periodic testing: As a supplement to material change testing, periodic testing must be performed at least once a year for continuous production without material changes.
4. Component testing: Finished products are generally tested; in certain specific cases, all components may also be tested to prove compliance of the final product.
5. The Children’s Product Certificate may only be issued by an accredited third-party testing laboratory based on the test report.
