Baby Bibs US CPC Certification Compliance

Applicable Product Scope

Baby Bibs refer to items tied around the neck of infants and toddlers to protect their skin and clothing from saliva or food stains. These include, but are not limited to, the following styles and materials:

• Styles: Bandana, scarf, smock, apron, and coverall.

• Materials: Waterproof/water-resistant fabrics, plastic, rubber, silicone, etc.

• Note: Styles with sleeves, food catcher pockets, and those designed to cover a high chair seat all fall within the regulatory scope.

Regulatory Standards

Important Note: The material determines the flammability standard. Choosing the wrong standard will directly lead to a review failure.

Compliance Materials Required for Submission

1. Documents

• Test Report: Issued by a CPSC-accepted laboratory (such as JJR LAB). It must include images of the tested product to prove it is identical to the product on the detail page.

• CPC (Children's Product Certificate): Issued by the manufacturer or the US importer (laboratories do not issue this certificate). It must list all applicable 16 CFR regulations.

2. Images Required

• Product label

• Compliance marks

• Hazard warnings

• Product packaging

• Tracking label

• Additional requirement for fabric bibs: The tracking label must appear on both the product itself and the product packaging.

3. Mandatory Information for the Detail Page

• Model number, part number, or item number.

Key Considerations

• The cpc certificate is a self-declaration document. It is not issued by a testing agency, but is self-issued by the manufacturer/importer based on third-party test results.

• All documents submitted to Amazon must be in their true, original (unmodified) format.

• Product images must be clearly legible and prove that they represent the exact same product as the tested sample and the product listed on the detail page.

• Safety information, labels, and warnings must be in the language of the target sales country (English is required for the US marketplace).

• For sets or bundled products, images of each individual product must be provided.

Consequences of Non-Compliance

Failure to provide the required compliance information gives Amazon the right to take restrictive measures in accordance with the Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement, including but not limited to removing the relevant product listings.
