Amazon requires all children's jewelry sold on the US site to comply with the following standards:
1.CSPARCW70.240.020 Standard: Primarily regulates the content of two harmful substances: phthalates and cadmium.
2.astm f2923-20 Standard: Consumer product safety specification for children's jewelry, defining fundamental product safety requirements.
3.16 cfr 1303 Regulation: Strictly prohibits lead-containing paint and consumer products containing such paint.
4.16 CFR 1500.50-53 Regulations: Testing requirements for use and abuse scenarios of toys and various children's products.
1.Total Lead Content: Total lead content in accessible product substrates must be ≤ 100 ppm. This is a mandatory requirement under cpsia regulations and cannot be exempted.
2.Surface Coating Lead Content: Lead content in product surface coatings must be ≤ 90 ppm, complying with the explicit provisions of 16 CFR 1303 regulations.
3.Total Cadmium Content: Total cadmium content must be ≤ 75 ppm. Please note that this standard has been updated and tightened; older test reports will directly become invalid and require re-testing.
4.Phthalates: The total sum of 8 high-risk phthalates must be ≤ 0.1%. This test item is mandatory for any children's jewelry containing plasticized parts.
5.Nickel Release: Nickel release must be ≤ 0.5 μg/cm²/week to prevent skin allergic reactions when worn by children.
1.Small Parts Control: Components with a diameter ≤ 3 mm must withstand a 50 N tension force. Components with a diameter between 3–6 mm must withstand a 70 N tension force to prevent parts from detaching and being accidentally swallowed by children.
2.Appearance Safety: Product surfaces must have no sharp points or sharp edges to eliminate scratches on children's delicate skin.
3.Special Requirements: Jewelry intended for children under 3 years old is strictly prohibited from featuring detachable small parts. Additionally, an adult supervision warning label must be prominently displayed on the product.
4.Full-Process Testing: Products must fully pass all relevant test items, including tension tests, breaking tests, and abuse tests, to satisfy compliance requirements.
1.Log in to the Amazon Seller Central portal. Go to Performance → Account Health → Policy Compliance.
2.Locate the corresponding children's jewelry ASIN that requires verification and click Verify Your Product. The system will automatically generate a unique TRF ID. Sellers must accurately provide this ID to their partner testing laboratory.
3.After completing all test items, the testing laboratory will submit the test results directly to the Amazon system. Sellers do not need to upload the report themselves, nor are they allowed to upload test reports on their own.
4.Sellers return to the corresponding page in Seller Central to check the product compliance status. If it displays Passed, the product can be sold normally. If it displays Failed, the seller must complete product rectification based on the feedback provided by the TIC audit, then resubmit for testing and review.
All information displayed on the Product Detail Page—including product model, manufacturer name, age grading, etc.—must be completely consistent with the relevant information in the test report without any discrepancies. Otherwise, it will directly cause review delays and affect the product listing schedule.
