Recently, Amazon US announced an important new regULation: for certain product categories, compliance must go through Direct Validationby Amazon-recognized Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC)bodies.
This means that for categories subject to this process, the traditional method of “sellers uploading compliance reports themselves” will no longer be accepted. For sellers, this policy is not only a major adjustment in the compliance process but also directly determines whether products can be sold successfully. Therefore, sellers must promptly optimize their compliance pathways to ensure products meet platform requirements.
This guide systematically outlines the seven stepsof the TIC Direct Validation process, helping you quickly understand and efficiently complete validation, REDucing sales risks caused by compliance issues.
Step 1:Open the “Manage Your Compliance (MYC)”page and locate “Pending Requests.”
Step 2:Click “Add or Appeal Compliance” > “Request Lab Services.”
Step 3:Select the ASINs that require testing and choose a TIC organization.
Step 4:Select the laboratory address where samples will be sent.
Step 5:Contact the TIC, confirm the quotation, and send the product samples.
(If you already have a test report, you can provide it for review first.)
Step 6:Wait for testing to be completed. The results will be automatically uploaded to Amazon.
Step 7:Check compliance status:
1. Approved:Product can be sold normally.
2. Not Approved/Incomplete:Product may be removed from listing.
3. Dispute Appeal:If you disagree with testing requirements, you may appeal and provide justification.
① After selecting a laboratory, sellers can directly communicate with it for quotations, sample delivery, and logistics arrangements.
② If the current TIC does not meet expectations, click “Request Quotes from Multiple Providers.”The page will then display the steps to contact third-party validation providers.
1. Download and Fill Template:Click “Download Excel Template,”and complete the required information as instructed.
2. Send to Providers:Email the completed template to chosen third-party service providers, specifying the products to be tested or the reports requiring validation.
3. Review Quotes:Wait for responses and review quotations from providers.
4. Confirm and Submit:Return to the provider page, select a service provider, click “Continue,”and submit the TRF (Test Request Form).
