All fixed fitness equipment entering the EU market must meet these requirements. The current version of this standard was issued in 2005, and it has not been updated for 8 years. The new standard EN ISO 20957-1:2013 will bring changes in load testing, heart rate measurement systems, heart rate control mode manuals, and labels.
