Toy EN71 Testing Items:

EN 71 is also part of the Toy CE Directive, implemented to ensure that all toys sold in the EU meet certain minimum safety standards in the following aspects:

1. Mechanical

2. Noise

3. Flammability

4. CheMICal composition

5. Electrical safety

6. Hygiene

7. Radiation

Toy EN71 Certification Testing Standards:

Product safety is always a major concern, especially when it involves products used by children, whether fully or partially. To make matters more complex, the EN 71 directive is composed of not just one part but thirteen parts:

- EN 71-1: Mechanical and physical properties

- EN 71-2: Flammability

- en 71-3: Migration of certain elements

- EN 71-4: Experimental sets for chemistry and related activities

- EN 71-5: Chemical toys (sets) other than experimental sets

- EN 71-6: Graphical symbols for age warnings

- EN 71-7: Finger paints

- EN 71-8: Activity toys for domestic use, such as swings, slides, and similar toys

- en 71-9: Organic chemical compounds - Requirements

- EN 71-10: Organic chemical compounds - Sample preparation and extraction

- EN 71-11: Organic chemical compounds - Analysis methods

- EN 71-12: N-Nitrosamines and N-Nitrosatable substances

- EN 71-13: Olfactory board games, cosmetic kits, and gustative games

What are the general items tested in Toy CE-EN71 Certification?

- EN71-1: Physical and mechanical properties testing, mainly including sharp edges, tensile strength, pressure tests, etc.

- en71-2: Flammability testing, mainly including the burning rate of toys, involving plush toys, textile toys, and headgear toys.

- EN71-3: Migration of eight heavy metals, which include antimony, arsenic, barium, cadmium, chromium, lead, mercury, and tin.

When we commonly refer to EN71 certification, we mean the first three parts of EN71!
