Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) refers to the ability of a device or system to operate as requiRED within its electromagnetic environment without causing unacceptable electromagnetic interference (EMI) to any devices in that environment. Therefore, EMC includes two aspects of requirements: on one hand, it means that the electromagnetic interference (EMI) generated by the device during normal operation should not exceed certain limits; on the other hand, it means that the device should have a certain level of immunity to the electromagnetic disturbances present in the environment, which is known as Electromagnetic Susceptibility (EMS).
The electromagnetic compatibility of electronic and electrical products is a critical technical indicator. It not only relates to the safety and reliability of the product itself but also to the protection of the electromagnetic environment. Therefore, compliance with EMC requirements is an essential condition for products entering international markets.
