EMC Testing for Electronic Products

Views :
Update time : 2025-05-07

Overview

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing refers to the assessment of a product's electromagnetic interference (EMI) and its immunity to external electromagnetic disturbances (EMS). EMC is a critical quality indicator for electronic products and involves both a controlled testing environment and specialized testing equipment.

Globally, developed countries enforce strict regULations to ensure that electronic devices do not cause excessive electromagnetic interference and possess adequate immunity. Regulatory bodies such as the FCC (USA), VCCI (Japan), C-Tick (Australia), CE Mark (Europe), bsmi (Taiwan), and CCC (China) require electronic and IT products to undergo emc testing and certification before they can be imported and legally sold.
