The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) enacted the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) in 2008, which imposes significant regulatory responsibilities on manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and exporters of consumer goods—particularly toys and children's products.

All toys and children's products entering the U.S. market must comply with CPSIA safety requirements. Testing must be conducted by a CPSC-accepted laboratory, and the products must be accompanied by either a Children’s Product Certificate (CPC) or a General Certificate of Conformity (GCC) to demonstrate compliance with applicable federal regulations and mandatory safety standards. Where feasible, permanent tracking labels must be affixed to both the product and its packaging.

JJR China is an independent third-party testing and certification laboratory recognized by the CPSC. Our testing capabilities not only cover the requirements of CPSIA but also extend to other regulatory standards such as ASTM F963 for toys and children's products.
