IC is the abbreviation of Industry Canada, which was officially renamed Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ised) in 2016 and is responsible for the certification of electronic and electrical products entering the Canadian market. ICES certification is a pass for electronic and electrical products to enter the Canadian market. Products within the scope of certification must pass the certification before they can enter the Canadian market for sale. Similar to the FCC in the United States, ised certification currently only restricts electromagnetic interference.
