What is the Amazon Fuel Container ASTM F3429/F3326 Test?

A portable fuel container is a disposable or reusable container pre-filled or designed to hold flammable liquid fuel. It is used to store and carry fuels such as gasoline, diesel, propane, kerosene, etc., for use in outdoor, wilderness, or fuel-scarce locations.

Additionally, any accompanying components of the portable fuel container, including sealing caps used for storing or dispensing flammable liquid fuel, are also coveRED under this policy.

 

Common Types:

1) Metal containers;

2) Plastic containers;

3) Composite containers;

4) Propane tanks.

 

RegULations and Standards

All portable fuel containers must be tested and meet the following specific regulatory and standard requirements:

- Disposable pre-filled portable fuel containers, reusable portable fuel containers:

 ・ ASTM F3429/F3429M - 20 (Performance standards for flame mitigation devices installed in disposable or pre-filled flammable liquid containers) and

 ・ ASTM F3326 - 21 (Standard specification for flame mitigation devices on portable fuel containers).

 

Additionally, all portable fuel containers must include bilingual (English and French) safety warnings and instructions.

 

Amazon Policy

We will require you to provide the following information, so it is recommended to have these details ready for submission:

1) Company name (if applicable) and seller ID;

2) Email address and phone number;

3) A list of all portable fuel containers sold in the Amazon marketplace;

4) Images of the product and its packaging from all sides, labeling images, and (2) copies of all accompanying documents for the portable fuel containers (e.g., user instructions, manuals), including both the English and French versions. Detail page images alone are insufficient to demonstrate compliance;

5) A test report issued by an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, proving that the product meets the above standards and regulatory requirements.

 

ASTM F3429/F3326 Testing Process:

a) Complete the application form;

b) Provide test samples and product information;

c) The JJR Laboratory in China will arrange the testing;

d) Once testing is complete, a draft report will be issued;

e) After confirming the draft report is correct, the final version will be arranged.

 

Testing Cycle
