WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment, which refers to the directive for recycling discarded electronic devices. In 2002, the European Union enacted two directives, WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive) and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive), to properly manage the vast quantities of electronic waste while recovering valuable resources.
