FDA is the abbreviation of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, an international authoritative institution for medical product review. Authorized by the U.S. Congress, i.e., the federal government, it is a high-level law enforcement agency dedicated to the administration of food and drugs.
Products subject to FDA testing and registration can be roughly classified into the following categories:
medical devices, pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, laser products, and food contact material testing (i.e., food-grade testing).
All utensils and materials that come into direct contact with food, beverages, or the human mouth must pass FDA-standard testing and certification before entering the U.S. market.

The U.S. FDA CFR 21 177.2600 Test Report is a safety assessment document issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for reusable rubber products (such as silicone, SBS, TPR, TPE and other elastomers) intended for food contact.
This standard mainly tests the safety of rubber products in food contact applications. Key test items include extractables testing such as n-hexane extraction (for fatty food contact) and distilled water extraction, to ensure materials meet food safety standards and avoid health risks.
It is one of the mandatory test reports for rubber-based food contact materials to enter the U.S. market.
