What Is the Estimated Cost for FCC Testing?

Views :
Update time : 2024-05-09

How much does fcc certification cost depends on the type of fcc certification required, as different categories of FCC certification incur different fees. Previously, FCC certification was divided into FCC-VOC, FCC-DOC, and FCC-ID categories. With the latest regULation FCC 10-208, the latest FCC is divided into two main categories: FCC-sdoc and FCC-ID, each with its own certification fees.

On July 13, 2017, FCC regulation 10-208 came into effect, and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Laboratory officially replaced the original FCC 2.948 Listed. Additionally, the subsequent execution of the SDoC certification process will replace the previous Verification and DOC certification processes. Devices compliant with the SDoC certification process require FCC markings. After the new policy, FCC is divided into two main categories: FCC-SDoC and FCC-ID. So, how much does the latest FCC certification cost after the new policy?

What Is the Estimated Cost for FCC Testing?(图1)

The first step is to determine whether the product needs FCC-SDoC or FCC-ID certification:

1. Ordinary Products: Such as electronic scales, humidifiers, robotic vacuum cleaners, electric fans, etc. If these products do not have wireless functions, FCC-SDoC certification is sufficient.

2. Wireless Products: Such as mobile phones, wireless remote controls, Bluetooth speakers, tablets, etc. FCC-ID certification is requiRED.

3. Other Wireless Products: This category includes products that can function normally without wireless capabilities or have USB interfaces for data transmission. It is recommended to obtain both FCC-SDoC and FCC-ID certifications for such products.

Cost of fcc certification testing:

1. For ordinary products without wireless functions undergoing FCC-SDoC certification, the cost is approximately $300-700, with a duration of 10-15 working days.

2. For wireless products such as mobile phones, wireless remote controls, Bluetooth speakers, tablets, etc., undergoing FCC-ID certification, the cost is over $1000, with a duration of around 4 weeks.

3. For other wireless products, it is recommended to obtain both FCC-SDoC and FCC-ID certifications simultaneously, with costs starting from $1500. For specific inquiries, please contact JJRLAB (hello@jjrlab.com).

It should be noted that the fcc testing fees mentioned above are approximately 30% lower than those of European and American domestic laboratories, as we are a Chinese laboratory, resulting in lower labor and testing costs compared to other laboratories.
