Where to take FCC radio test?JJRLAB Laboratory offers FCC radio testing, saving businesses 30% on certification testing fees (because we are a Chinese laboratory).

The United States is the primary consumer market for manufactured goods globally and the largest importer. A considerable portion of goods entering the United States comprises communication electronics products. According to relevant sections of the United States Federal Communications Regulations (CFR Title 47), all communication electronics products entering the United States require FCC certification, meaning they must undergo testing and approval by laboratories directly or indirectly authorized by the FCC according to FCC technical standards.

Introduction to FCC-ID Testing Report Processing:

FCC stands for the Federal Communications Commission, directly accountable to Congress. It coordinates domestic and international communications by regulating wireless radio, television, telecommunications, satellites, and cables. It is responsible for authorizing and managing radiofrequency transmission devices and equipment for all entities except the federal government. According to relevant sections of the United States Federal Communications Regulations (CFR47), all electronic products entering the United States require electromagnetic compatibility certification (FCC certification).

FCC-ID: This is the CERTIFICATION certification certificate. FCC-ID certification is applicable to low-power transmitters such as cordless telephones, remote controls for automatic doors, wireless remote control toys, and security alarm systems; intentional radiators of radio frequency energy in Part 15; industrial, scientific, and medical equipment for mass consumer use in Part 18; automatic frequency receivers and super-regenerative receivers; television interface devices; and household computers and peripherals. Products must be tested by FCC-accredited laboratories, and after obtaining the test report, compile the technical documentation of the product, including product detail photos, block diagrams, user manuals, etc., and submit them together with the test report to an FCC TCB testing laboratory. The FCC TCB testing laboratory confirms the accuracy of all information and issues a certificate, authorizing an FCC ID number.

Wireless device FCC-ID certification test items:

1. Frequency Output Power:

Adjust the voltage and current fed into the radio frequency amplification circuit according to the power adjustment procedure to maximize the rated output power transmission state and add appropriate loads to the radio frequency output port to test the maximum radio frequency output power. The method of power adjustment will vary for different transmission types, and this should be detailed in the test report.

2. Modulation Characteristics:

1) For voice modulation communication products, it is necessary to measure the frequency response curve of the audio modulation circuit within the range of 100-5000Hz. If the product uses an audio low-pass filter, the frequency response curve of this audio filter should also be measured;

2) For products using modulation limit processing, it is necessary to measure the relationship curve between the modulation percentage and the input voltage over the entire modulation frequency and signal power level range;

3) For single-sideband and independent sideband wireless telephone transmitters using peak envelope power limiting circuits, it is necessary to measure the relationship curve between the peak envelope output power and the input voltage;

4) Other types of products will be processed according to the applied certification type and the corresponding regulations.

3. Occupied Bandwidth:

When measuring occupied bandwidth, the measurement methods will vary for products using different modulation methods, but the basic principle is to select the modulation signal with the maximum amplitude under typical operating conditions for testing, and provide detailed explanations of the input modulation signals in the report.

4. Spurious Emissions from Antenna Ports:

In addition to measuring the radio frequency power or voltage at useful frequency points of the product, measurements of unused spurious frequencies are also required. During measurement, appropriate dummy antennas can be added to the antenna output port; attention should be paid to harmonics and significant spurious emission points.

5. Spurious Radiation Field Strength:

This test mainly detects the field strength of harmonics and some significant spurious emission frequency points at the product's housing port, control circuit module, and power port. For products with operating frequencies below 890MHz, measurements should be conducted in an open field or an anechoic chamber. For on-site testing, detailed investigations and explanations of nearby radiofrequency sources and obvious reflective objects need to be conducted.

6. Frequency Stability:

Frequency stability to be examined includes the variation of product frequency determination and stable circuit frequency under changes in environmental temperature and input voltage. In special cases, frequency stability may also include the stability of frequency when using different antennas or moving near large metal objects.

FCC-ID certification processing flow for radio equipment:

1. The customer submits the application form (blank application form provided by our company);

2. The customer signs a testing contract with our company;

3. Sample testing is carried out, and electrical schematics, external/internal photos, oscillator circuit diagrams, user manual nameplate identification, operational principle explanations, etc., are prepared (depending on the product);

4. After passing the test, if it is FCC VOC certification, our company directly issues a certificate of conformity and a report; if it is FCC DOC or ID certification, our company submits the application materials;

5. Once the enterprise obtains FCC certification, the FCC logo can be used on the product."
